An understanding of the hope of Christ's second coming
Description of

Time When Too Late To Be Saved
Human Probation
Closes
He who is
unrighteous (unjust, wicked), let him be unrighteous still; and he who
is filthy (vile, impure), let him be filthy still; and he who is
righteous (just, upright, in right standing with God), let him do right
still; and he who is holy, let him be holy still.
Revelation 22:11
When the work
of the investigative judgment closes, the destiny of all will have been
decided for life or death. Probation is ended a short time before the
appearance of the Lord in the clouds of heaven.
Scoffers
pointed to the things of nature - to the unvarying succession of the
seasons, to the blue skies that had never poured out rain, to the green
fields refreshed by the soft dews of night - and they cried out: "Does
he not speak parables?" In contempt they declared the preacher of
righteousness to be a wild enthusiast; and they went on, more eager in
their pursuit of pleasure, more intent upon their evil ways than before.
But their unbelief did not hinder the predicted event. God bore long
with their wickedness, giving them ample opportunity for repentance; but
at the appointed time His judgments were visited upon the rejecters of
His mercy.
Christ declares
that there will exist similar unbelief concerning His second coming. As
the people of Noah's day, "And they did not know or understand until the
flood came and swept them all away--so will be the coming of the Son of
Man." Matthew 24:39
When the
professed people of God are uniting with the world, living as they live,
and joining with them in forbidden pleasures; when the luxury of the
world becomes the luxury of the church; when the marriage bells are
chiming, and all are looking forward to many years of worldly prosperity
- then, suddenly as the lightning flashes from the heavens, will come
the end of their bright visions and delusive hopes.
The events
connected with the close of probation and the work of preparation for
the time of trouble, are clearly presented. But multitudes have no more
understanding of these important truths than if they had never been
revealed. Satan watches to catch away every impression that would make
them wise unto salvation and the time of trouble will find them unready.

Close of Probation
Passes Unnoticed For you
yourselves know perfectly well that the day of the [return of the] Lord
will come [as unexpectedly and suddenly] as a thief in the night. I
Thess. 5:2
The righteous
and the wicked will still be living upon the earth in their mortal state
- men will be planting and building, eating and drinking, all
unconscious that the final, irrevocable decision has been pronounced in
the sanctuary above. Before the flood, after Noah entered the ark, God
shut him in, and shut the ungodly out; but for seven days the people,
knowing not that their doom was fixed, continuing their careless,
pleasure-loving life, and mocked the warnings of impending judgment.
"So," says the Savior, "shall also the coming of the Son of man be."
Silently, unnoticed as the midnight thief, will come the decisive hour
which marks the fixing of every man's destiny, the final withdrawal of
mercy's offer of guilty men.
The people are
fast being lulled to a fatal security, to be awakened only by the
outpouring of the wrath of God.
The Lord in
judgment will at the close of time walk through the earth, the fearful
plagues will begin to fall. Then those who have despised God's word,
those who have lightly esteemed it, shall wander from sea to sea, and
from north even to the east; they shall run to and fro to seek the word
of the Lord and shall not find it....
Behold,
the days are coming, says the Lord God, when I will send a
famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for
water, but [a famine] for hearing the words of the Lord. And
[the people] shall wander from sea to sea and from the north
even to the east; they shall run to and fro to seek the word of
the Lord [inquiring for and requiring it as one requires food],
but shall not find it. Amos 8:11-12
The ministers
of God will have done their last work, offering their last prayers, shed
their last bitter tear for a rebellious church and an ungodly people.
The eye of
Jesus, looking down the ages, was fixed upon our time when He said,
"...Would that you had known personally, even at least in this your day,
the things that make for peace (for freedom from all the distresses that
are experienced as the result of sin and upon which your peace--your
security, safety, prosperity, and happiness--depends)! But now they are
hidden from your eyes" Luke 19:42.

Luke 13
23-30 Amplified Bible And someone asked Him, Lord, will only a few
be saved (rescued, delivered from the penalties of the last judgment,
and made partakers of the salvation by Christ)? And He said to them,
Strive to enter by the narrow door [force yourselves through it],for
many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able. When once the
Master of the house gets up and closes the door*,
and you begin to stand outside and to knock at the door [again and
again], saying, Lord, open to us!
He will answer you, I do not know where
[what household--certainly not Mine]
you come from.
Then you will begin to say, We ate and drank in
Your presence, and You taught in our streets. 27But He will say, I tell
you, I do not know where [what household--certainly not Mine] you come
from; depart from Me, all you wrongdoers! There will be weeping and
grinding of teeth when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the
prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves being cast forth
(banished, driven away). And [people] will come from east and west, and
from north and south, and sit down (feast at table) in the kingdom of
God. And behold, there are some [now] last who will be first [then], and
there are some [now] first who will be last [then]. Luke 13 23-30

When Jesus closes the door of salvation, probation closes and after that
time salvation will Not Be Available to Humanity, even if you pray and
ask God to forgive your sins. Too late!
And he
[further] told me, Do Not seal up the words of this prophecy of this
book and make no secret of them, for the time when things are
brought to a crisis and the period of their fulfillment is near.
He who is unrighteousness (unjust, wicked), let him be
unrighteousness still; and he who is filthy (vile, impure), let him be
filthy still; and he who is righteous (just, upright, in right standing
with God), let him do right still; and he who is holy, let him be holy
still. Behold, I am coming soon, and I shall bring My wages and
rewards with Me, to repay and render to each one just what his
own actions and his own work merit. Revelation 22:10-12
Amplified Bible
Revelation
16:17 Then the seventh [angel] emptied out his bowl into the air,
and a mighty voice came out of the sanctuary of heaven
from the throne [of God], saying. It is done! [It is all over, it is
all accomplished, it has come!] Revelation 16:17
"It is all
over, it is all accomplished, it has come" refers to all of the eternal
destinies of all people who ever lived on earth. The dead of ages past
and those currently alive. Final decisions. No appeal. Then the
voice is actually heard by the people of earth and throughout the
universe: "It Is Done1"
The plan to
save humanity is over. God's plan of salvation is done! Watching the
news will NOT prepare you for these events!
Everyone will have been assigned a resurrection
(before Jesus appears in the sky): the first resurrection for eternal life, or the
second resurrection to death. No appeal of this decision.
The decisions
will have been made before the last seven plagues begin when life
appears to be going along as normal.
No Martyrs After
Probation Closes: Protection Explained
He
shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in
trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
Psalms 91: 15
The people of God
will not be free from suffering; but while persecuted and distressed,
while they endure privation and suffer for want of food they will not be
left to perish.
Yet to human sight
it will appear that the people of God must soon seal their testimony
with their blood as they did the martyrs before them. They themselves
begin to fear that the Lord has left them to fall by the hand of their
enemies. It is a time of fearful agony. Day and night they cry unto God
for deliverance...
And they shall be
Mine, says the Lord of hosts, in that day when I publicly recognize and
openly declare them to be My jewels (My special possession, My peculiar
treasure). And I will spare them, as a man spares his own son who serves
him.
Malachi 3:17.
If the blood of
Christ's faithful witnesses were shed at this time, it would not, like
the blood of the martyrs, be as a seed sown to yield a harvest for God.
Their fidelity would not be a testimony to convince others of the truth;
for the
obdurate*
(unmoved by
persuasion, pity, or tender feelings; stubborn; unyielding; stubbornly
resistant to moral influence; persistently impenitent:
an obdurate sinner)
heart has beaten back the waves of
mercy until they return no more.
If the righteous
were now left to fall a prey to their enemies, it would be a triumph for
the prince of darkness.
Says the psalmist:
For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret
place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.
Psalm 27:5.
Christ has spoken:
Come, my people, enter your chambers and shut your doors behind
you; hide yourselves for a little while until the [Lord's] wrath
is past. For behold, the Lord is coming out of His place
[heaven] to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their
iniquity; the earth also will disclose the blood shed upon her
and will no longer cover her slain and conceal her guilt.
Isa. 26:20-21
Glorious will be
the deliverance of those who have patiently waited for His coming and
whose names are written
in the book of
life.
