Softphone  Use a computer to make toll-free phone calls. Check it out.

In computing, a softphone is a software program for making telephone calls over the Internet using a general purpose computer,

rather than using dedicated hardware. Often a softphone is designed to behave like a traditional telephone, sometimes appearing

as an image of a phone, with a display panel and buttons with which the user can interact. A softphone is usually used with a headset

connected to the sound card of the PC, or with a USB phone.

USA Map High Speed (DSL) vs. Dial-up vs. (Slow Speed)  http://www.InternetForEveryone.org/

Dial-up Explained Test your web site on a dial-up connection. If it freezes up, half of the internet users in the USA will tune you out because their screens will stall and your video will be a "big quiet" and just static. Dial-up internet connection users are satisfied with a kinda fuzzy picture and some gaps in the audio - as long as it catches up in the queue.

Broadband or high speed users require sharper pictures and theatre style audio.

There is a two tier levels of internet users: dial-up and high-speed. If you live far away from the phone company internet connection building,  internet speed rates "fall off the cliff" to almost useless. Check out: www.internetforeveryone.org/

An HTTP magic cookie (usually called simply a cookie) is a packet of information sent by a server to a World Wide Web browser and then sent back by the browser each time it accesses that server. Lou Montulli, a former employee of Netscape Communications, was the first to apply the cookie technique in web communications.
